Evening with John Harms

John Harms plans to host an evening at Wanera Wine Bar in Angaston, 6pm Thursday November 27th, when he will chat to the 5 ministers in the book The Hugamug Club –

Brian Schwarz, Robert Voigt, Amel Manyon, Len Gerschwitz and Jim Bryan. Steen Olsen will launch the book.

For $30 attendees also enjoy a 2-course meal - alternate drop menu of beef or chicken + vegetables, and alternate desserts. Wonderful value!

We are most fortunate to have John Harms and his wife Susan living in Tanunda. John is a gifted writer, historian, publisher, speaker, publishing consultant, MC, lunch host, broadcaster, and co-creator of the very popular Footy Almanac website. This started as a footy writing site but quickly became a platform for writing on memoir, poetry, music, short fiction, and art. John often hosts speakers over a meal, most recently interviewing Neil Balme and Rick Darling at the Tanunda Clubhouse.

SBLC Child Safe - Governance

Governance - If it is to lead, do it diligently. (Romans 12:8)

Governance refers to the role and responsibilities of a designated group elected or appointed by the congregational members, which works with and leads the congregation.

Your church Council is seen as a leader within your church and are integral to the life of a congregation. They establish the strategy and goals ensuring compliance with church policies.

Governance helps provide accountability and enables Councils to make plans and have a process to monitor and supervise those plans.

Do you know who your church Council members are?
