Transforming Lives – God’s Love Through ALPHA in Prisons By Bernie O’Leary $28.00
This book chronicles the extraordinary journey of a retired civil engineer who heeded God’s call to minister to prisoners. After 42 years in engineering, Bernie embraced a new path as a chaplain, running Alpha courses in Prisons. This book recounts his transformation and the profound impact of Alpha on the lives of inmates.
The Hugamug Club - Andy Thurlow $20.00
BOM says we are in for a cold and wet week. So you might like to sit by a fire and read the life stories of 5 local ministers - Amel (Manyon), Brian (Schwarz), Len (Gerschwitz), Jim (Bryan) and Rob (Voigt) in a new book out called ‘The Hugamug Club’. Amel is the Uniting minister in the Barossa - the first Sudanese woman to be ordained in the Uniting Church in Australia. An amazing story!

Why do we have to implement the LCA Child Safety Standards for Congregations?
- When we care for children and keep them safe, we are following Christ’s mandate.
- We have a synodical responsibility to protect and care for our children. We also have multiple legal responsibilities relating to child safety.
- And finally, we have important regulatory responsibilities in relation to compliance with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
