LLL CONGREGATION MEETING

Recently LLL decided to return to their Religious Charitable Development Fund (RCDF) status, so they can continue to support the Lutheran Church of Australia as they’ve done for over 100 years. Scott Ross, Chief Relationship Officer, will provide the latest information about LLL’s transition to an RCDF and provide the opportunity to ask questions. KAFFEE UND KUCHEN - BAROSSA GERMAN LANGUAGE ASSOCIATION

MONDAY 25th MARCH 2024, 1 pm Langmeil Centre, Maria St. Tanunda Guest Speaker Dr. Heidi Kneebone. BA Hons(German) PhD(Linguistics) Grad Dip Ed Heidi has been learning and teaching German language and culture for over 30 years. She has extensive experience in Language, Curriculum, and Assessment having worked with the C2C Project in Queensland (Languages) and with SACE Board over many years. She is an accredited Goethe Institute examiner (A1-C2). Her doctoral thesis connected the areas of German Studies, Linguistics and Language revival, and explored the linguistic legacy of Lutheran missionaries in 19th-century South Australia. Dr. Kneebone will speak in German (with some English) about:

•Experiences learning German (personal perspective/intro)

•German Connections in SA and the unique linguistic legacy of the Lutheran Missionaries (reflections on thesis)

•German language teaching experiences - followed by discussion & a Q and A
