Left motherless by tragedy and abandoned by his father, seventeen-year-old Seth McArdle is struggling to support his two little sisters.
As a punishment for fighting back against bullies from the football team, Seth is assigned to work after school with the groundskeeper Abel.
Much to his surprise, Seth discovers that Abel may be the only one who truly understands his struggles.
As dark times lure Seth towards desperate measures, the reluctant Abel may be the only person who can point him back toward the light.

The German community in the City of Adelaide is the less-known part of the German South Australian story.
Often from larger urban centres, Adelaide Germans were often at odds with their rural Old Lutheran cousins, socially, politically, and religiously.
It was this diverse group of Germans that Missionary Teichelmann first preached to from the Reverend Stow's church a month before the arrival of Pastor Kavel, although the main migrant flow began years later in 1846.

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Recently the idea of “Spiritual Disciplines” has become more popular within Christian circles, referring to activities like regular prayer, bible reading, fasting and retreats. However, the practice of such disciplines can prove incredibly difficult in our culture where convenience and instant gratification are the norm.
This workshop explores a different approach to Spiritual Disciplines, treating them as “Means of Grace;” that is, they are God’s grace which He offers us, but also “means,” or practices through which we might be led into His presence to flourish.
If you crave this kind of flourishing in your own life and desire to go deeper with God, we invite you to join us to delve further into this alternative perspective and learn practical strategies for integrating such ‘Means of Grace’ into your everyday.

Robin and Dorothy have been to Indonesia where they braved motorbikes, mangroves and mud to see the life-changing impact of the love that people like you bring to life through ALWS.
Packed into the 90-minute ALWS Asante will be stories and songs from Robin and Dorothy. An inspiring journey to a community where people with disability are no longer forgotten but celebrated like Marleni who shared, “I have been blind in this eye since I was 12 years old. I got a sickness [like chickenpox] and some went in my eye. My family were too poor to get any medicine and so I lost the sight.
I have not been able to work – just stay with the family and they care for me, but I was rejected by my community.
I joined the Persons With Disability Group [facilitated by our partner in Indonesia and supported through ALWS] in 2022. I put in a little bit of money each month. After many months I could take a loan for several hundred dollars to start this kiosk. It put items in the shop and helped to build this small room at the front of the house. I can now get a profit each week from the fuel and the food.
I feel very happy, and it creates my spirit to feel more appreciated by the community when I have this shop. Thank you!”
