We take a moment to pause … and reflect!
Barossa Ark, the refreshed Christian Bookshop presence in Nuriootpa and the Barossa Valley, has been trading for nearly three years now.
My reflection naturally goes to the vision of those who originally established The Cottage Christian Bookshop, and faithfully served the community in this way for over 22 years.
After the Cottage closure, the Working Group quickly and unflinchingly picked up the ball. They envisioned and planned for the continuation of this ministry and mission activity.
They put together some clever and appropriate changes which we are still enjoying today. Some of these changes included internal design & layout, use of colour, and an absolute ongoing commitment to the personal shopping experience.
In summary, Barossa Ark continues to serve the wider Christian community through
… the sale of product that supports, encourages, and builds faith in Jesus.
… opportunities to meet and chat with people in the marketplace, sharing stories of faith, life and encouragement
… providing opportunities (e.g. Mission Moments, Barossa Hymnfest) that enrich our life and faith perspectives
… a specialist customer order service
… the support of emerging Christian artists, artisans, and authors
We’re looking forward to an ongoing and exciting future as this remarkable opportunity continues to unfold!
